With Christmas and the New Year fast approaching, now is the time to review your website to ensure it is working hard for you and has the potential to deliver you plenty of business.  Here are the 7 tasks we urge you to do before 2018:

1. Google Analytics

Take some time to look in on your site’s analytics.  Check where your visitors are coming from and how long they are sticking around.  Most importantly, find out where they are coming from too.  Knowledge is power, and by knowing more about your visitors you will have better opportunities to convert them to customers by creating appropriate content and calls to action.

Contact us if you’re interested in our Google Analytics reporting service.

2. Ensure you have https running

If you haven’t done so already, moving your site over to https is a task that needs addressing as soon as possible. Contact your website host to be able to do this.

You can read more about what https is here.

3. Ensure all posts are SEO optimised

Is your site running the YOAST plugin?  If so, it is easy to ensure your posts are all SEO optimised.  If by chance you don’t have this plugin, contact our team for us to assist you.

5. Is your site mobile responsive

Yes, you may still be able to view your site on your phone or tablet, but is it mobile responsive?  This simply means, the website automatically changes to fit the device it is being viewed on.  Made Neat are the experts in making your current WordPress site mobile responsive.

6. Modern User Interface

How does your site stack up against your competitors?  Is it using a modern user interface?  Meaning that does it look like it is in 2017 and utilising up to date functionality and ease of navigation.  These key points can be what will score you new customers or send them elsewhere.

7. Check Site speed

Site speed now places a major factor in traffic that Google sends to your website.  There are many useful site speed testing sites out there how ever the easiest to understand is the test my site feature of google, this will test the speed of your site and generates a report.
