Hey Jackson, we all know that you’re our Number 1 design person in Made Neat, but what is three words you would use to describe what you do?

Learn. Design. Build.

What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?

They vary, some days are filled with small maintenance jobs, others a day or two just on design concepts for a new site. Right now I am making tweaks to the Made Neat website and waiting for feedback on a couple of new website builds.

What do you like most about your job?

It’s always changing. The digital world is forever evolving monster, it’s overwhelming sometimes and very addictive. It can be everything – challenging, frustrating, repetitive, crazy, boring, rewarding, stupid, incredible and so on, I think that’s what I like the most about it.

What is your motto or personal mantra?

Respect other people’s decisions in life even if they are weird, don’t let other people’s crappy attitudes and hot heads rub off on you. Be someone your mum and dad, grand parents, friends, partners can be proud of.

What do you love doing in your spare time?

I’ve just finished building my house so lately I haven’t had much of it, when I do I’m surfing, spending time with my girlfriend, cooking, travelling.

What’s your favourite blog/website?

For inspiration I head to siteinspire.com or webcreme.com

I’ll read an article that interests me every now and then on smashingmagazine.com

Otherwise I’ve probably spent more time on Gumtree than anything else lately which isn’t very exciting! I don’t really have any go to blogs that I read religiously anymore.

What is on your wish list for the five years of Made Neat?

I want to continue making our product better. It means I get to learn more and become better at what I do, make our customers happy and our work will continue to speak for itself.
