WordPress Frontend Developer
We’re looking for a frontend-focused WordPress developer to join a growing, systems-driven agency.
We don’t build “quick sites” with stacks of plugins.
We build fast, secure, maintainable websites using a defined system and consistent standards.
If you like clean builds, structured thinking, and solving the right problem, you’ll fit well here.
How We Build
- We follow a strict, documented approach to development so any developer can step into any project and continue seamlessly.
- That means:
- Class-based, system-driven CSS (ACSS first, custom CSS last)
- Minimal, intentional plugin usage (no duplication of infrastructure or bloat)
- Performance, accessibility, and security are part of “done”, not add-ons
- Clean, reusable builds. No hacks, no “works on my machine”
What you’ll be doing
- Build custom WordPress websites using Bricks + ACSS
- Develop responsive, scalable layouts and components
- Translate design into clean, maintainable frontend builds
- Work across a wide range of industries and project types
- Contribute to ongoing improvements of our build system and standards
- Maintain and improve existing client sites where required
- Collaborate closely with designers and other developers
What we’re looking for
- ~3+ years experience building WordPress websites
- Strong frontend fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with modern page builders (Bricks highly regarded)
- Understanding of performance, accessibility, and clean markup
- Experience with ACF and common WordPress tooling
- Comfortable working with Git and structured workflows
Most importantly:
- You think in systems, not one-off solutions
- You don’t rely on plugins to solve every problem
- You care about maintainability as much as delivery
- You can challenge ideas and contribute to better outcomes
Bonus points
- PHP / backend WordPress experience (custom functionality, hooks, plugins)
- Experience with ACSS or utility-first CSS approaches
- Experience with WooCommerce or more complex builds
- Familiarity with modern JS frameworks
- Experience working with LocalWP or Docker-based local environments
